Architecture Preview

Eden Project
1. Built by  Nicholas Grimshaw
2. Made in 2000
3. Located in Cornwall
4. It's a public building
5. It cost 141 million pounds
6. It was built to preserve ecosystems and so people could see foreign ecosystems
7. I picked this building because it looks very odd compared to the area around it. There's just these weird orbs in a very green looking place. It's odd.

Atomium
1. Built by André Waterkeyn
2. Made in 1958
3. Located in Brussels
4. It's a public building, museum
5. I'm not sure how much the original structure cost, but the renovations of the building in 2004 cost 23 million.
6. It was built for the Brussels world fair in 1958
7. I picked this building because it has a very unusual design. It looks more like an attraction than a building. And well that's basically what it was.

Kunsthaus Graz
1. Built by Collin Fournier and Peter Cook
2. Made in 2003
3. Located in Austria
4. It's a public building
5. Cost info not widely discussed
6. It was built as a place to show all kinds of art
7. I picked this building because it looked weird with all the old and traditional buildings next to it. It's like a giant alien just plopped down in the town. Maybe that's why they call it the "Friendly Alien".

Burj Al Arab
1. Built by Tom Wright
2. Made in December 1999
3. Located in Dubai
4. It's a luxury hotel, you can visit if you have lots of money
5. It cost around 1 billion dollars
6. It was built for rich members of society to stay
7. I picked this building because the design seems very unique. I really cannot name a single building that looks anything like this. It's a marvel of engineering.

La Pedrera
1. Built by Antoni Gaudi
2. Made in 1912
3. Located in Spain
4. It's a public building
5. There's not info on the cost of the building
6. It was built for a rich couple
7. I picked this building because of the old, but new look. For some reason this building looks somewhat new to me, yet it was built a little over 100 years ago. It's a very strange looking building.

Sensory overload warmup

Sensory overload warmup

1.
A. I thought the statement was an insightful look into the way 21st century humans behave and live.
B. I agree. Technology is quickly becoming a much more crucial part of our lives and the environment itself.
C.  As a photographer, this statement makes me think more about the surroundings compared to the subject.

2.  Yeah it looked pretty intriguing.

3. It'd probably be pretty weird. You'd always be very claustrophobic.

4.  I liked the photo with the button shop the best. All the buttons in the photo line up really well and it looks like a perfectionist set up the shop.
